Best Christmas Gift of 2013

Posted by MNAngler On December - 26 - 2013

This is the best Christmas gift I got this year. My brother gave it to me.

SonarPhone

It’s a fish finder transducer made by Vexilar that turns your smartphone into a fish finder. The transducer transmits to your smartphone via wifi. It’s the most brilliant invention for anglers that has come along in a long time. Vexilar also has a camera that transmits to smartphones.

We tried to get it to work yesterday, but it didn’t seem to work too well because it wasn’t in water the whole time. I plan to take it out today to try it out on the ice.

I can’t wait for Spring to try this out with my float tube. It will be great to not be fishing blind anymore. I’ll do a review of it once I get some time with it on the water.

That is pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing.

That sounds a little dangerous. I know, as there’s a Palm Treo Pro on the bottom of Pickerel lake right now. The Mrs. was not happy with me.
