Mark is a neighbor of mine that lives two houses down from me. We are the second house off the corner, so he’s actually across a street. That extra psychological barrier usually prevents either from us from seeing each other or talking much. But his son plays with my next door neighbor’s son a lot and their family is always invited to our neighborhood gatherings that we have every few months.
