The Father, The Daughter,
and the Lego Spirit

Posted by MNAngler On December - 7 - 2009

Forgive me, fellow anglers, for I have sinned. It’s been 2 weeks since my last blog post and fishing hasn’t even crossed my mind.

Since my last post just before Thanksgiving, I’ve been wholly preoccupied with Legos. That might sound strange, but let me explain.

I’m the coach of an all girls Lego League team made up of 4th and 5th grade girls, which includes my 9 year-old daughter. Our competition is coming up this Saturday, so in the past two weeks, I’ve had at least part of the team over at my house working on their robot and presentation every day except Thanksgiving Day. Therefore, I’ve had little time to think about much else.

We’re all exhausted, but the girls are determined to make their robot work so that they’ll do well at the competition. I’m very impressed with them.

I’ve got some post ideas in my head, but can’t get them down fully until after this weekend. So in the meantime, enjoy this pic in the spirit of Legos and fish:

Wish us luck in the competition and I’ll talk to you in about a week.
