When my kids (ages 10 and 5) are playing together and I have to interrupt them for something like dinner, I hear them both yell, “PAUSE!”
I’ve kind of hit the pause button on my blog this week. I’ve got a lot going on right now. The thing that’s occupying most of my non-working waking hours is being coach of my daughter’s Lego League team. They compete in local tournaments and we got assigned to the early tournament, three weeks earlier than I expected. So I’ve been trying to get my head around what needs to be accomplished until then.
I did get out for a short bit last Friday when my boss was in an especially good mood and let us out for the afternoon. I hit a lake nearby that I once caught a 16″ largemouth from shore, but conditions were not as favorable this time around. On one side of a point it was very windy. All my casts were coming back at me like an annoying fly you keep trying to shoo away from your food. I found some quiet spots on the other side of the point, but either there was no fish, or they weren’t interested. The nice thing, though, is that I felt a lot of rocks while bottom bouncing a jig and a Texas rigged speed craw, so I think they will be good spots in the Spring.
Our tournament is in two and a half weeks. I hope to not be completely absent until then, but my posts will likely slow down. With winter looming, I hope to get out at least another once or twice before I have to wait for ice in.
On a bloggity note, this is my 200th post. Hard to believe I’ve had so much to blather on about. Thanx for visiting. And if you’re a regular reader, thank you. I really appreciate you coming back more than once. I hope I haven’t put you to sleep too often.
On to the next 200…
Had never heard of Lego League…pretty cool. Congrats on the 200th post, that’s a serious milestone.
Congratulations on #200. Posts definitely begin to slow down this time of year, but so do hits. Use the interim period during the winter months to write posts pertaining to spring tactics. Save them to post later. It’ll make keeping up with blogging during the warmer months easier on you. I need to get back to doing that, actually. I have not been on the water in some time now. The water has been low and now that it’s back up, the wind is here. Makes for a rough day navigating around cypress trees. I don’t like it at all. I’m closely watching for a day that will cooperate with me.
Hits certainly have taken a dive as of late. I didn’t see it last year because I didn’t have enough hits to notice a difference.
I do have a lot of posts prepared for the upcoming months. I had anticipated it last year as well. This year, I have 40+ drafts that I can finish up.
Thanx for the tip and the post ideas.
Congratulations on pecking away on the keyboard for (200) posts. That’s a bunch! Good luck with your daughter’s team.
Thanx for the congrats, guys. I hope there are many more posts to come.
Congrats on #200! Pretty sure you’ve far surpassed me at this point (and too lazy to go check).
Congrats to you and here’s raising my glass to 200+ more! Cheers!
