If you ask a non-Minnesotan to tell you what they know about Minnesota, they’ll tell you, “it’s cold.” This reputation is so pervasive that when a friend of mine in college landed an internship here in Minneapolis for the summer, he packed sweaters. Over the last year, since I met Michelle Scheuermann from the Sportsman Channel at Hunt.Fish.Feed., she’s been incredibly generous with Sportsman Channel swag. It’s December. Which means it’s winter. Officially. Which means it’s cold. So while most of you are thinking about Christmas shopping (mine is done, by the way), we fisherman are waiting for lakes to freeze over enough to sit on a bucket. While that may be a strange concept to those of you in other parts of the country (like Troutrageous), when you live in Minnesota, it’s a common practice.
