Bass Opener Bust

The hardest part of Spring in Minnesota for a bass fisherman is waiting for bass opener to come around. It finally arrived this past weekend. I was supposed to go up to my father-in-law’s cabin on the Gunflint, but my wife scheduled her garage sale for this week, so I was stuck at home helping to get the garage ready. The store was clean, well organized, and had an amazing selection of products. So I ask you, Why do you not have a store in Minnesota? Minnesotans eat, live, and breathe fishing. Our state is the #1 in sales of fishing licenses per capita in the nation. We also have the most boats per capita. We fish year-round. And... (more...)

The MNRiverdageous Lunkerdooress Winner

The blogosphere never ceases to amaze me. The MNRiverdageous Lunkerdooress Hydra had a lot of fun getting together our scavenger hunt. But it was much better received than I expected. We got a lot of comments about how fun it was. We’re glad you enjoyed playing as much as we enjoyed creating it. Here are the answers to the 5 questions: Journal of a Minnesota Angler: Q: “In which of my top adventures of 2010 did I catch my personal best largemouth bass?” A: #2 (Also accepted answers... (more...)
