I took my younger sister-in-law and the kids on a joyride on the pontoon in the late morning. We cruised to walleye alley off the shore about 300 ft and down to the public boat landing at the far Western end of the lake. Of course the fishfinder was on, but the only fish we saw was one or two fish in the lane to the boat landing. They were right off the tip of a fallen tree.

No fish in walleye alley. Makes me wonder whether we should keep fishing there. Ken and my grandfather-in-law used to catch walleye in this stretch of shore which is why I named it Walleye alley. But we haven’t seen but one or two fish in all the passes we’ve made with the fishfinder. I’m not sure it’s worth spending time there anymore.

Just before dinner, we made a visit to Ken’s cousin to get a quick tour of his place. On the way back, I had the urge to go to a new area after dinner. I pointed East and told Ken we should go that way that night.
